  • Three-day Binational Watershed Workshop under the theme “Voices of the Watershed,” resulting in a two-year action plan for river restoration, water quality studies, clean-up campaigns, and public education
  • Renewal of the Las Cuevas Research Station (LCRS) Agreement with the Government of Belize, securing another decade of research, education, and conservation collaboration
  • Scarlet Macaw biomonitoring program jumpstarts at Chalillo Lake, with promising nesting activity recorded for the 2026 season
  • Continued community dialogue at the Belize–Guatemala adjacency zone, focusing on biodiversity protection, wildfire prevention, and community development initiatives
  • FCD receiving the Cross Border Collaboration Excellence Award at the UK–Belize Climate & Nature Legacy Awards for leadership in forest fire prevention and response
